dark light

Atlas B747-400 at Manchester today

I knew I’d made the wrong choice of photo vantage point. I chose south side due to sun angle but it was so hazy. Ended up shanking the touchdown shots so badly they are in the bin already 🙁

Ended up with a hazy approach shot….

Not happy 🙁

ps it was in empty to take United on tour. I don’t know why they needed a B747-400 – I mean there’s no need for extra space for the Prem trophy is there ? 🙂

Also the Transat A310 took off shortly after with the “Welcome” scheme…

The south side is a difficult spot in the height of the summer. It is much better early and later in year when sun isn’t so strong.

Example photo from January – far better light and no haze…

Cheers.

That’s not a bad shot, I’d be happy with that. 🙂

I personally love southside, but I think you have to know the right places for the current weather conditions cause as you said, you get a lot of heat haze from that point.
