Somtimes the attached thumbnails do not have a small dash mark to click on, whilst others open up alright. Anyone know why this should be?

Non-tecchie
If you have Norton Anti-Virus, try disabling ‘Script blockers’ as an experiment.
I can’t give you a technical reason why but it worked for me.

Let us know what browser and operating system you are on… Some anti virus software can cause some sorts of difficulties (tho not this sort in my exp)

Thanks for your suggestions, but they do not work. The box is ticked for downloading images, but there is still nothing in the blue box to click on. However, some threads do have images which open OK.
I guess there is something in my internet options settings which is preventing me from seeing the thumbnails, but then why would some open and not others. Could it be the problem is with the person posting the pictures?

Possible Fix……
If you go to your User Control Panel (User CP) – top left of the screen – click on it, and then click on Edit Options on the left hand side menu…..
Once that opens up a new screen – you should be able to scroll down until you find the section marked: Thread Display Options… and in there is a tickable box to ‘show images’ – make sure that IS ticked to display any thumbnails or attached images… If successful, when you return to this post you should see the image of the screenshot I took of the above tickable box!!!!
Hope that cures your problem….

I cant see a problem.
Below the lettering in blue that says “Attached thumbnails”, theres a pic of a crew briefing.
Clicking on that picture opens up a new window, of the same (but larger) photo no problemo…..

An example can be found in the item posted on 8th October by STAN.
It is called “Long shot — can you identify etc.”
In the blue rectangle below attached thumbnails there is nothing to click on, yet the replies all seem to have seen the pictures.
Hope this helps.

I suspect that the thumbnails that don’t open are actually that size but, to show us what you mean, can you give a few examples, please?
