I use an older? program: “Professor Franklin” instant photo effects, that I happened to get with my borrowed scanner. Includes an “Intelligent internet save” option, where you “slide” a ruler to “size” your picture.
(and get it below this forum limit)
Best regards
PS. Nice one trumper!

Well done, Moggy! I have been pondering how to include multiple photos for quite a while.
May I suggest that your answer is added to the “FAQ” part of this site?
In fact the general guidelines on sizing could also perhaps be added.

Someone (sorry cannot remember who) posted a suggestion here about Microsoft ‘Power tools;. You download them from the MS website. The photo re-sizing one is brilliant. Once downloaded the only thing that changes is when you right click on a photo file and get the usual shopping list of tasks you also get a ‘re-size image’ option. Click on this and choose a size. I usual select ‘medium’ and this creates another version of your picture suffixed (medium) which is well within the Forum size parameters and does not loose much of the detail of the original. Try it – it works.

Most important things are
1) Resize the image. No point in using more than 72dpi, monitor resolution means anything more is wasted. Ideal width somewhere between 600 and 800 pixels.
2) jpg is best bet for getting adequate quality within the ‘less than 100Kb’ limit imposed by Key
3) For multiple pictures in one posting, this has to be done with pictures that are already posted somewhere elswhere on the web, and by inserting their urls into the post. If you actually insert the file from your own machine you are limited to one pic per post.
