Is there a limit to the facility of uploading photos as I am getting a message that I am over limit. I have deleted some attachements and am still not able to upload a photo.

You can of course use an image hosting site such as photobucket.com for free and link the photos here using [ img ] tags.

I use photobucket on another forum and it works very well.
It will even re-size your picture for you and as you are using an external host for your pictures, you will never go over your limit on this forum.

Try it..

There should be on your ISP’s help pages something along the lines of “how do I edit my web space?” or more techy “How do I FTP” (file transfer protocol). Who are you with?

So if I reduce my quota below 5 MB, I can post a photo, but the deleted photos on the best forum will not appear?!

I am with AOL but I guess they are not my ISP (?), it is probably Telecom (T.Com,de).

Ah that confirms you have a total quota (sum of all attachments) of 5MB.

Yes if you delete a image from the hosted site, then it will not appear if you have linked it in the post.

Hi NF, the WebMaster has had to take some action on this because the system running the forum server has maxed out its disk space. I am not sure exactly what quota has been implemented….I’ll find out for you.BR

Thanks, I understand disk space/bandwith problems almost! The sum of my attachments amounts to 6.92 MB and when I tried to upload a photo of 65.2 KB, the message is that I am 1.98 MB overlimit. This bit of computer maths is beyond me. I assume the maxing out is a new problem not previously encountered but I would guess this would most affect the airline image threads which are predominately large photos.

I have a free Photobucket account which is obviously limited in its capacity and when the older items are deleted, I believe they cannot be accessed from a posted link?

How would I ascertain any space allocated by my ISP? Cheers!
