guys,
are there any updates of the ATV? seems all of a sudden its been very much silent. what reactor is goin in ? and are there any chances of it resembling the Severodvinsk class? If no sadly but i cant see a good SSN,SSBN rolling out. 😡
any russian sources whether they r compromising with their Severodvinsk class in ATV?

Well what i meant is not necessarily the Severodvinsk class design but rather the reactor that it’ll have and other such state of the art similarities in technologies.

I am sticking with a victor-III design with more modern avionics and weapons ofcourse
Like Wise , A Victor 3 Design with Modern Sonar ,7 Blade Skewed Prop , State of the Art CIC & Modern Torpedoes & Cruise Missile , Is a Nice way to get started and build your first 5 of similar types.

sub SSN building is a longish process for first timers, you get better after the first 15 :diablo:
so the design would have been frozen few yrs ago to give enough time for producing the parts inhouse and searching the russian industry for the rest.
so its certain the design would more like a Victor-III or early model Akula than
a Akula2 or Sbinsk…..the last victor-III was commisioned in 1994. the hull shape and towed sonar atop tailfin is very similar to Akula. more importantly its 6100 tons hence the design nicely scales 1:1 to rumoured size of ATV, the Akula design would need rework to shave 30% weight off.

All news are Top Secret 😀
But how can a ATV resemble the Severodvinsk Class SSN when Russia herself has not launched the first SSN of that class.
