Auction Lots

A couple of unknown  items turned up yesterday from an auction a few weeks back.

The rudder I believe to be from a Miles Messenger. It is wood with fabric covering and a MAB data  and MOD plate and construction date of 1947.

The seat appears to be handed with a working rise/fall ratchet and a back brace. Part numbers start with 4F and 14F.

Finally a piece that has a Fairey F8 stamp on it.

Thank you I had looked at Heron but could not see under the foam.. The scratched part numbers on the supports fit with DH modus operandi..

Very interesting. Much appreciated.

Part number starting 4F is part of Dove/Devon second pilot/navigator seat as shown in extracts from Sea Devon IPC

Part starting 14FF would be Heron related.
