Oh Thats interesting – in all these years here I have never actually typed in a rude word before and noticed it get automatically neutered – well done the sicko who gets to sit there and type in all the rude word exclusions – bet he’s got a mack and some boiled lollies

😀 😀 😀 😀

A bit like reading your first Dictionary and just looking for the rude words but enough of that, not Warbird related (sorry) 🙂

Hi Macfire

Well said – not seen anything like this anywhere else except perhaps when the B29 in the states was under a web cam – this is the best web site I have seen of it’s type

Oh wow.
I look at the construction techniques and styles used during the development of aviation especially the WW.II era, the infrastructure, obtaining the raw materials, the training of ground crews (not to mention the assembly and technical personnel from the factories) and I marvel at the finished product.

Now we see these very same aircraft being resurrected in the hands of equally skilled dedicated craftsmen.

And thanks to Avspecs, who give us enthusiasts the privilege of seeing this progression through their excellent web site.

Hi Melve

Given some of the issues there from time to time I was probably suggesting it be called the wan**rs of the North

But that is probably a bit rude and irreverant

Kindest regards
Dr Parker – take two of these before bed – no not the nurses you fool……The tablets

I reckon it should be called Warbirds over Wanaka – The legends of the South.

C’mpn John, that is not like you. I thought you would try to get Legends to be called the Wanaka of the north!

SJL

Hi

I think next years WoW would be pushing things – the wing will be a mammoth exercise in it’s own right but the one after that is a possability I would have thought – wow to see this thing screaming around those snow capped mountains – now thats worth seeing !!!

Be interesting to see what fronts at Wanaka next year – one surprise I know of will blow a few socks off!! and the Ex Brietling aircraft are all still there plus a few more P40’s and the new Yak 3 – I have already booked – I reckon it should be called Warbirds over Wanaka – The legends of the South.

I’m amazed by the progress so far. Seeing the fuselage halves together is so exciting.

I agree Dave, it’s very thoughtful of AvSpecs to post as many updates as they do.

I’ll resist the ‘will it be at Legends’ comment, but will it be at Warbirds Over Wanaka? 🙂

Hi SJL, I echo Dave’s remarks: its a great project which is being watched with keen interest on the forum, so this update is very much welcomed. The accompanying photos are really interesting, illustrating the construction techniques used to build the Mosquito.

Onwards and upwards! 🙂

Thanks for the heads up Stephen, welcome to the forum. Only two days ago I checked the AvSpecs site and the July update was the latest I could find. Good to see the new one.

Isn’t it really great how AvSpecs take the time to show the public the progress on their restorations like this. It is certainly appreciated by me anyway, and it beats all the waiting and wondering that warbirds fans often go through till the next mention in FlyPast or Classic Wings, etc. Well done AvSpecs, and thanks!

This is very nice work and fast too!!!

When does the next fuselage go into the jigs /moulds – I imagine these are the sort of things you could parallel produce – fitting one out whilst the next is being laid up etc

Does anybody know how the wing is progressing or are they concentrating on the Fuselage (That would make sense I would think ) Great place.

Has anything been done with the static fuse that went to Canada yet – that was a couple of months ago and I didn’t hear that it had arrived yet !!!
