This just caught my eye on airliners.net and as I think Aurigny is an intersting airline, I thought I would post a pic of it on here. Does anyone know where it is likely to be operating, will it come to Stansted?

Looking pretty good. I am actually surprised they are introducing a new livery, Aurigny in the last few years, seem to have had a mixture of aircraft in hybrid liveries. Nice to see them introducing a set c/s.

That is okay…
Aurigny have also been granted a license to operate as competition on the JER-SOU route from October 26th.

Yes 5 years, I said that above. It is a long term deal rather than the “wet lease” of the Cimber Air aircraft.

Hi,
They are leased for a 5 year period I think.
Thanks

Aurigny are leasing the aircraft from Aeronautix so they are not registered with the airline.

Hi,
G-BWDA and G-BWDB are registered to Aeronautix Leasing in the Isle Of Man, why not Aurigny?

Bloody hell!!!!
I can’t believe that G-BWDA and G-BWDB are still registered as such and will again be flying in the UK. These were the first 2 ATR72 that Gill Airways brought into their fleet, I don’t suppose that it is much of a coincidence that Malcolm Hart, the MD of Aurigny, was the MD of Gill Airways (during my stint at Gill) and that these particular aircraft have followed him eventually.

Hi,
I think the ATR really looks good in that livery. It was a no show at MAN today though, still Saab 340.
Thanks

No, not anymore. It has been operating with Flybe. more recently. And sorry, the ATR will be seen at Manchester during the weekends.
Also I can reveal also that the new tail emblem will be a puffin, which will appear on the Trislanders and Shorts aircraft.

Hi,
Is Aurigny still operating the leased BAe 146-200 from Titan?

The aircraft have been at Toulouse.
By: Mark L - 14th September 2003 at 16:49
Kabir, the tail will be changed shortly.
Wysiwyg, they are ex Gill Air machines, but I am not sure where they have been stored though.
By: KabirT - 14th September 2003 at 16:45
they could have done more on the tail…but nice anyhow.

Thanks very much for posting that wannabe. I have been very keen to see this scheme. I think it would have looked better with the yellow fin (without yellow drifting onto the rear fuselage) and yellow engine nacelles but I’m glad they have left off the cheat lines that the Saab has on the fuselage.
Does anyone know the previous history of these 2 aircraft? I believe the intention will be to start using the second aircraft on the MAN service in the future.
