i normally land myself visually with the aid of the glidescope etc, but latley ive been trying out the auto pilot landing options, and on my pmdg 737 it works a treat, but on a 757 model i have it seems to be useless, the plane just seems to turn to where ever it wants to and theres no way id land with the automatic approach setting on, does the option only work on the odd model? or is my project opensky 757 just naff?

Robbo the payware aircraft are generally the only planes that are equipped with autoland, the basic freeware models do not even contain a Rad Alt which is an integral part of autoland, generally if your model has more than 1 autopilot and an FMC it may or should have autoland capabilities, the only thing the freeware ones do generally is fly the ILS from LLZ capture to GS capture and then down the ILS to as low as you would want it, I generally disconnect the autopilot on good visual with the runway which is alot of airline’s SOP but your choice, I would recommend disconnecting at the MM.
