AUS – USA growth!!!

i was wondering why dont AA fly to Australia, that would provide good connections for them i know that they already have a code sharing agreement in this region, and also i was wondering about AA why dont they fly to that much destinations in Asia, i believe that by expanding there flights into this area they will see some benefits, and also is any other airline going to begin flights on the AUS – USA route i know that SQ has expressed interests on flying SYD – LAX it would be good to see NW fly on the same route to!
