Aussie RBS-70 Buy

Apparently Australia is Buying extra RBS-70 units to supplement its existing units but also to replace its rapiers, would’nt that leave them a little sparse in the ground based air defence catergary, I mean isn’t the RBS-70 only a very low level system.
I think they should at least upgrade their rapiers as well so they have a medium level system for more of an area defence.Would the RBS-70 be described as more or less a point defence system.
I know the ”A21- army for the 21st century – a force stucture for the future” paper from the australian DoD in 1996 called for only 1 air defence Regt with 1 very low level Air defense bty and 1 low level air defence bty.
I think they should look at the whole spectrum low , medium and high. I think the great expanses of northern Australia really call for at least some form of long range ground based air defence , ideal for engaging targets over the famous ”sea-air gap” of the Timor Sea. Especially considering the the modernisations going on in the region in long range strike and precision ( China and Malasyian FLANKER BUYS ) and also not forgeting ballistic missles such as those operated by N. Korea
Would love to see couple of aussie patriot batteries and I don’t think I’m being unreasonable do u?
