No I’ll defend the B4 as well. Its one of the two Auster types I’d like to see the other being the Type G? glider. (anyone got a Mk 1 or III without an engine going spare)

Ok ok, i’ll give you the Agricola, but one out of all the others isn’t bad! Personally I quite like the look of the B4 and it’s an interesting design, can’t wait to see it when it’s fully restored, last I heard the fuselage was almost fully restored

[Auster must be the only manufacturer who has managed to make all of their products good looking!]

M’lud to prove the falsehood of that statement the prosecution would like to present the Agricola to the jury.

Beauty is of course in the eye..etc. Personally I find all Horsters ugly. Girders, eh?

Just measured it on my chart. Its 6 nm to the north of the airfield. Its part of a small business park now but much of the building is still there.

If you get a flight Rob, ask them to take you over the former Auster factory at Rearsby. If I see you I’ll come and introduce myself.

Neal

How far is that from the airfield? May just be a quick jolly.

XR240 is an Eggesford based Auster 9 (one of 4), so that might be your flight. I’ll try and find out Bryn and Richard’s mobile numbers and report back via a PM.

Perhaps I should have gone after all…..

Popped in to Leicester today, only for a short while though. This was parked up on the grass.

Rlangham
Will you be there on Saturday, I’ll try to find you and get some photos of you going for your flight. Shame we can’t arrange some air to airs.
