Auster G-AGYD.Info req'd

I am in the process of re-building Auster J1N G-AGYD,the a/c that Major Draper flew under a couple of London Bridges in the early ’50s.
From copies of b/w photos I have the a/c appears to have been in one of the standard Auster finishes at the time ie silver with either a red, green or black Auster stripe down the side. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the colour the stripe was? I am trying to restore as faithfully as possible-I know it was a J1 when it flew under the bridges and is now a J1N.
I have a colour copy of the Herts and Essex Aero Club badge that was on the engine side cowlings.
I have tried all the usual sources and am hoping that maybe this Forum can come up trumps with the info as so often it does.
Thanks
