A couple of friends of mine have been looking at moving their cars from there garage workshop at EGNX, they have found a nearly new hangar who’s owner died last year, inside there is an Auster he was apparently rebuilding and it is still there complete but in parts, everything they believe is there from the Lycoming to the Avionics….. They think his wife may sell it, I could get more info if someone was interested

Hi Guys,
Stan do you know what happened to the MK-V ex VH-PUF??
Iām looking for some parts for a MK-IV but PUF would be perfect!
Have a couple more “project” Austers to find good homes for.
Auster J1B, S/No 2763, Regn ZK-AXE, TTIS 732 hours, fuselage and tail covered and finished in standard silver/blue scheme, wings ready to recover, Eng Gipsy Major Time ex.Auster Mk V, S/No U/K, Regn VH-PUF, TTIS U/K, all covered with ceconite and ready for doping, Eng LycomingO-299-3 Time ex.
Both have props, instruments, perspex etc.

Thanks for the heads up Tony.
Sounds like a worthy project for someone to take on.
I would love to know more about this ole girl. Sounds like a Mk 5 possibly. These can have wartime history for those that are looking for that.
Keep us posted Tony. I would be interested but I am past the point of no return with my T7 rebuild. I have thrown way more money at her than what she is worth on the market, but that is not what it is about.
Hopefully the little Auster will get some much more due recognition one day.
Cheers
Anthony
