Australia's busiest airport

Just saw a show on tv here in Dubai about Australia’s busiest airport,Jandakot in Perth has 348000 movements per year and the funniest thing about it all,is that after 6pm there is no air traffic control at the airport,so pilots have make judgements unaided. The best thing is the airports safety record, not a fatalaty at the airport in over 40 years. Now thats not to bad for an uncontrolled airport from 6pm with near on 350000 t/o and landings pre year, which by the way is nearly 30000 more than Bankstown.

RE: Australia’s busiest airport

It was a news report from a local tv station looking into the viable use of the airport as a training facility. It was made about 1 week ago and i have checked the trueth behind it.Yes Jandakot is the busiest by a considerable margin.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-03-02 AT 02:43 PM (GMT)]I’m looking into that, I haven’t forgotten to check it up!
I know for a fact that Banko has grown since 1994! When was this film made can you supply any details?

I do know that Bankstown has no tower help after 18:00 as well, and they cover not only Bankstown but Camden, Hoxton Park, Wollongong and a couple of other places, but anyway!
