I just saw this on A.net; thought you guys might be interested. It is the new Austrian Airlines corporate image. Personally I don’t think it is much of an improvement, the blue looks shoddy. The modified logo looks very basic to me, a sort of backward step from the classic continuity of the former arrow and so I don’t think it represents its airlines as well. Very Lufthansa don’t you think?
Their name has changed to just “Austrian,” like Swiss. Tyrolean will now become “Austrian Arrows,” not to be mistaken with “Austrian Errors”

The old livery always had a blue/green streak on it to represent the green meadows and woods and blue rivers and lakes. It was a lot more subtle and blended in more. The new touch of blue is just too abrupt. I think this new c/s totally decreases the superiority of Austrian Airlines, the elder livery was modern yet also elegant. This new one to me is just a total loss of this classic design.

Looking at it again it does indeed look like a cross between the BA and the old BOAC bird.

I think that the logo looks quite modern, not at all bad, and the engine colour mixes quite well, but the belly should either be grey, or the same colour as the engine.

Is it just me or is that logo a speedbird?

I like it except for the blue.
A refreshing improvement.

Hi,
I agree with Nationwide Air about the titles but otherwise it looks good. 😀

Well Adam, I found just what you wanted! Its not the best shot (as the photographer acknowledged) but it is the only shot!
I for one do not like it! The two tones blue (1 for engines and 1 for belly) clash. And then, what is the blue doing there anyway! I prefer the old colours.
I do like the new logo though. The name Austrian Arrows is just silly. Austrian Error!

Hi,
I think it is nice, not sure about the Austrian titles though.

i think it looks quite good. maybe the blue bit on the fuselage could be a bit darker and the engine could be modified (it’s too soft), but otherwise i wait to see it on the actual aircraft

The engines, and the blue underside don’t go very well IMHO. The logo doesn’t strike me as being too bad, it’s a “Modernised” version of the old one that sits quite well I think.

I don’t like it.
But a logo shouldn’t, in my opinion, represent the airline, but the airline’s country.

I actually quite like it.
