Autopilots

Just lately the autopilot controls on my aircraft seem to have developed a mind of their own.

For instance, if I want to set the heading, I left click the mouse and hold down until I get near the course I want, then I lift my finger and left click reasonably rapidly to get to the exact number.

What has been happening recently is the control continues to adjust so instead of coming round to say 090 and stopping it keeps going, even if I lift my finger, until I move the pointer away. The problem is that it adjusts the setting so quickly its difficult to move the mouse quickly enough to stop it.

This is happening with all the controls, ie Heading, OBS, altitude and speed. It’s not so bad when presetting on the ground but while flying it can be a positive nuisance expecially when getting near the destination on IFR.

Has anyone got a solution to this problem please?
