As has already been mentioned, a cracking little show to end the season with and congratulations to all involved. Hopefully a few images that have not already been covered.

No, and I only remember seeing 2, and they went to the western end of the runway and parked on the hardstanding there.

Brian

Fokker 50’s are much lighter then a ATR 72 so they can go on the Grass.

It brought up 64 passengers and 4 crew up from the Channel Islands so should it been parked south of the runway with the other vistors?

So thats what it was in for a charter flight from the Channel Islands:D

Thanks Fluffy for the pic, Just wondering is BBMF Spitfire (The Last) PS 915 back home in bed now or is it going for a maintenance?

Regards
James

I understand at an earlier event this year at Duxford five VLM Fokker 50s came in, did they all park on the grass if at all?

Grass parking

PEN PUSHER
Yes both Daks went onto the grass, the ATR is not an aircraft for parking on the grass it is at least 10 ton heaver than a Dak?
The centre of the display was half way along the runway near the tower the ATR was parked just north of the threshold out of they way of most of the crowd, where else whould one have parked this aircraft?

ATR72 blocking the crowd line
Well it had to park some where so where else would it go, in front of the VIP tent?

Yes.

Both Dakotas brought passengers and they were moved.:D

I thought it made an interesting addition to the static line, as somebody with experience of designing ATR colour schemes, it was interesting to get a closer look at their Puffin tail art!

In the future people will gaze nostalgically at your pictures of the ’72, post them on forums, discuss them at length….:D

The Mk XIX BBMF Spitfire was there for the launch of the Haynes ‘Spitfire Owners Handbook’ and was used as a backdrop for a photocall.

Brian

Hope it’s better than the one they did for my Rover 25 🙁

Great pix Brian by the way

Cheers

The Aurigny ATR 72 was there when I arrived and sat there throughout the show, blocking the crowd line view, and was still there when I left.
