Aux rectifier type 20 can you help

We have been given an Aux Rectifier Mk111 type 20 for our museum.
It states on the front panel it is for use with a Bombing Teacher.
When it was given to us the gent said it was a battery charger for a Wellington bomber.
Perhaps someone could help with any info on this.
