I just read this on a news site:

The fleet of three EC665 Tiger HAPs, operated by the French Army’s 5th Combat Helicopter Regiment, has now logged more than 1,000 flight hours in Afghanistan in less than a year.

The text continues saying that this is a big success.

Roughly, and if i understand well, then it means that each helicopter has been flying 1 hour a day. That does not seem to be that impressive, isn’t it?

I have the impression that all these high tech weapons are more stuck on the ground getting repair and maintenance than actually fly and do their job.

any view on this?
