Following on from recent posts about how the Avenger is a bit of an unsung warbird deserving greater attention and also mention of the Bermuda triangle investigations shown on TV, I thought you might like to see some of the air-to-airs which I’ve taken of TBM / Avengers during formation flying.

I forgot to add the IDs of the TBMs that were shown in my shots. They were Bu 53522 TBM-3E NL88HP (coded 88) – since re-registered as N188TD, Bu 53454 TBM-3E N7030C and Bu 85794 TBM-3E N7001C (then coded X-2). I think these all remain airworthy.

Some very nice pictures indeed! I think it’s great to see all these photo’s that have been taken recently of warbirds still flying! It just goes to show how many differant types of classic fighters their still are about in this world today.
