Hi Paul,

Thanks a lot for your kind comments 🙂 It is a pleasure that you appreciate my work 🙂
As always, I love to experiment and be creative in any kind of work I do and I am glad it works:)
Aviation is the subject that I like the most and simply my kind of specialization 🙂 Well, at least I am trying…

Thanks again:)

Hi there, Greg.

I’ve just been browsing your Flickr site and I must say, I’m very, very impressed. Your drawings and paintings are just beautiful, and your aviation photos are among the most interesting I’ve seen for a long time. They’re very much not the standard kind of images you see on the major photo sites, but your eye for interesting compositions is superb, and your photographic work is all done in a very tasteful way.

Excellent work, and thanks for sharing it with us!

Paul

eHangar,
The reason to post my images on flickr is very simple. I am about to resign from my website birdlike.com and I have found flickr to be quite interesting place to show my work and also find new/more audience. It is possible that birdlike.com would be reactivated in some form in the future but for now, my pics will be on flickr.

cloud_9,
Maybe at some point I will decide to go into business but being realistic, I need to put much more time developing my artistic/business skills, the time, which I do not have as much as I would like:)

The other thing is that civil aviation paintings are not selling that well which is quite surprising considering huge popularity of civil aviation, and photo sites like Airliners.net.
To go full time into business like this is not easy, but I honestly think that with a good work is possible to find an audience and profitable market.

It takes me to paint from about 10h (Red Dragon Hawk) to 30h (Air Canada A345) but many depend of complexity of each painting.
I believe it would take to paint a proper painting with complex background and detailed airplane from about 50-60h in summary but in real life this would took I recon two weeks. I have found difficult to paint for more then 2-3 hours at a time without brake.

Thanks a lot for kind comments:)

I would just like to extend the praise that you have recieved so far for your work, they are exquisite and you should go into business by selling them and, as you have already mentioned, doing the odd commissioned piece…

Just out of interest, how long does it take you to do a painting…i.e A380 one?

If you are interested in taking your talent to the next level, please feel free to drop me a PM.

Once again, fantastic work and keep it up! 😀

Beautiful artwork, as usual! 🙂

What’s the advantage of posting your pictures up at flickr, as opposed to having them on your own website?
