This is my latest masterpiece. What do you all think?
Also, what is your favourite piece of Aviation Art? Do you have any of your own that you want to share?

Louis Strange, Lewis gun pan jammed, on Foster mounting, aircraft inverted, he fell out, only hanging on by the leather strap on the pan, on the gun, on the mounting, on the top wing, on his Bristol Scout(?) now hoped that the pan wouldn’t detach, it didn’t, he managed to climb back in.
What did he do at the end of the Battle of France? 😉

I like Mustangs 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀
I GUESS that the pilot who fell out of his cockpit was flying either the Martinsyde S1 or the G.100 “Elephant” and his guns had jammed. But that is only a guess 😀 😀 😀
Martinsyde S1, Pilot Louis A Strange, Date 10th May 15, Lewis gun magazine Jammed as he tried to change it while engaging a German aircraft, he stood up in the cockpit to free it, Aircraft then stalled 😮 , went inverted and he fell out. 😮 He managed to hold on to the Drum and it stopped him from falling to his death 😎 , He then managed to get back into the cockpit and recover the plane before it hit the ground. 😀

Clue Time….
Clue to the VC winner question. Most likely the Baron’s hardest Kill.
Clue to the other. His first name was like one of his weapons, and he had some Strange ways of mounting it on his aircraft.
Google time GO!!!!!!!

Some of my early stuff, from the longest continuous serving aircraft Sqn in the world. 😉
Also Quick Quiz 😮 –
Which one of this aircraft was used to win the first VC for Air to Air Combat between aircraft. Name of the Pilot as well, please.
and
Which one had its pilot fall out of the cockpit in flight, what problem did he have and was trying to solve when he fell out and how did the problem save his life, its quite a strange story this one. 😉

And here are some for Hurrifan, as I’m I…. 😀 The two 6 Sqn Kites were my third attempt at a profile after a BE2A and a Phantom FGR 2, hence not as good as my Coltishall Aircraft (and I didn’t do pilots back in those days). More to come. 😉
Cracking profiles. 😉

I like that 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀 I can never seem to get the props on my spitfire’s to look ‘right’ 😀 😀 😀
That’s the biggest problem with doing Props on any aircraft drawing, something a professional aviation artist told me earlier this year.
