If it looks like a cheap alternative to taking a classified ad in the relevant magazine, definitely no.
Regular posters who have contributed consistently to the aviation fora and have an item for sale have occasionally got away with posting that they have ‘such and such’ to be disposed of at a bargain price to forum members who are being offered it first, all further contact by PM.
