Aviation Paintings in London

Anyone with easy access to Central London should really take the time to nip along to the Guild of Aviation Artists annual exhibition in the Mall Galleries (just 50 yds down the Mall from Admiralty Arch and it’s free entry) There is the usual excellent and varied collection of original artwork….almost all for sale, and the finest to my mind is a stunning painting by Alex Hamilton called Tally Ho!, a flight of 85 Sqdn Hurricanes peeling off above some Dorniers in a beautiful cloudscape..you just feel as though you are there. If only I had 2,800 quid burning a hole in my pocket.
