Aviation Paintings of the Year Show

I went along to the Guild of Aviation Artists’ show at the Mall Galleries in London yesterday, and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is in London this week.

The overall winner, a painting of a Stirling by Alex Hamilton was absolutely breathtaking.

If you can’t get there in person, you can see the pics at http://www.gava.org.uk, though the low-res images don’t do the pictures justice.

It’s on until Sunday. Today, Friday and Sat 10am-5pm, Thursday 10am-8pm and Sunday 10am-3pm.

Cracking Paul C. Thanks for the link YR.

There’s even some Chipmunk porn for Steve Young on there. 😀

Definitely going. Congratulations Paul. As one who can’t even paint a wall properly, I’m in awe.

How about other forum members posting their work, or as in my untalented case, favourites?

To get things going, here are a couple from an American artist, Robert Karr, whose work’s not normally seen on this side of the pond.
