Yes I know it is only the end of October, and while not wishing to start preparing for Christmas so soon, I was wondering about cards.
I have from time to time, bought cards featuring aircraft covered in snow sitting on a dispersal or being prepared, with attendant groundcrew etc, in snowy conditions. These I have bought in packages from places like Hendon in the past, but are there any other suppliers out there who have similar products for sale?.
This year I am trying to make a few of my own, just to get away from the stock ‘Robin on a stick’ or the ‘Village church in snow’ variety.
One photo I need is of an old control tower taken in winter conditions, anyone out there have such an image I can freely use?, for years I have been waiting to take such an image of the tower at Matching Green, but alas it has never snowed enough to present a decent image I could use, From all reports,(allegedly) this year will be cold with much snow, but will probably arrive too late for me to use it, so come on people, some one must have such an image I could use……..please? 😀

Doesn’t quite fit what you want Denis, but if others are interested, Michael Turner has a couple of very nice greeting cards which can sort of be used at Christmas, one of Hawker Harts over the Himalayas, another of the Antaractic Expedition Austers. http://www.studio88.co.uk
Well they’ve got aeroplanes and snow, what more do you need??

I have emailed him on several occasions but with no reply. The website has not been updated for nearly a year now.
Hope Robert & his family are ok, he did mention in his last email that his daughter was not well though.

Why not pay a visit to
http://www.controltowers.co.uk/
And leave a message for Robert, the guy whose site it is.
He must have so many images of towers that he isn’t using on the site, it has to be worth a try.
