Hi Hatton,

Despite the fact I live down here in deepest Norfolk I am a member of the Friends of Methringham, at that said bomber base in Lincolnshire.

They have a very active programme with a mixture of talks from surviving bomber crews and the modern day air force (Arrows / BBMF / etc ). Unfortunately distance means that I never get to attend these.

They have built a splendid visitor centre that improves all the time, hold period dances in the restored gymnasium and, of course, always need volunteers to man the shop, help with the restoration tasks and the like.

If you are over that way, why not drop in?

Moggy
