Does anybody know whether the early model Jindivik that was kept in the room behind the Anson is up for sale as well?

Will,

is Air Atlantique planning to offer passenger flights in/on it? :diablo:

The Anson is stored just outside Peterborough with a friend – she is a long term restoration project for him.

It went to Graham Adlam, and he then swapped it with someone in the Peterborough area (I think!) for a Hurricane project.

I came across this picture on another site, not aviation related, it was taken at Maes Artro just before in recently closed, does anyone know what it is on the right??

I would hazard-a-guess it’s the former RAE Llanbedr Anson, VS562?

Camlobe – the Dove was offered to a few groups. A friend inspected it and found it severely rotten after spending long periods at Torbay and later the North Wales cost.

I know that the Dove that was outside with the Prince got scrapped about a year ago. No notice, just happened. Don’t know what the future holds for the Prince. Depending on who you listen to, the Prince was flown by Douglas Bader when Shell owned it!!

The Prince is beginning to look really sorry for itself. I know Terry has been trying to find ways of restoring her and really hope he is successful.

Dave – The Hunter was sold to the museum years ago by the ATC. I hope Caernarfon gets to grips with their Percival Prince and other aircraft there before anything else goes there.

The Caernarfon Anson (TX235) is now in Storage at the CFS site on the South side of Coventry airport.

Caernarfon has a few nice toys…. but must struggle to keep going…

Well they may be getting a certain Shackleton nose very soon 😀

…. The Hunter cockpit has sold…..

Thought it was only on loan from the ATC ?

The Whirlwind hasn’t physically gone yet but he has received an offer on her. The Hunter cockpit has sold. The Anson needs some serious work .She is the prototype T.21 and served with A&AEE and her manufacturers.

Caernarfon?

I was down at Caernarfon early this year (to drool over their Sea Hawk) and saw no Anson there.

Caernarfon has a few nice toys but this place is too out of the way imho and must struggle to keep going. Someone has obviously spent a lot of time setting up some of the exhibits but it looks like the place hasn’t been touched in 20 years.

As the last aero museum in Wales – I really hope they continue on.

Sadly, the new owners of Maes Artro are developing the site. Other aviation items like the replica spitfire have already gone.

As for price – he’s open to offers. I prodded gently but he wouldn’t give any clues.

I think their Westland Whirlwind is also up for grabs but have have already gone.

Wasnt there a XIX at Canarvon (you know the place – cant be arsed to spell check it) or is this the one that a group were restoring in a small shed – reported in FP a few years ago?
