Okay, this is a bit of a longshot but here goes. Back in 2003 i spent a week at RAF Kinloss, and twice i went on eight hour long patrols in Nimrods. During the first one, we did a touch and go on a small airfield, i think i saw about two or three medium sized hangars, not too sure, but my most distinct memory was that when we climbed back into the sky i saw a silver Avro Anson there, i’m 99% certain it was an Avro Anson. Does anyone know where this could have been? It was just before Easter and we did many passes over HMS Tyne a Fishery Protections Vessel before then, i think it may have been Cornwall or possibly Wales, not too sure though.

RAF Llanbedr (sp?) used to have Anson T21 VS562 parked just across the way with the local ATC – think it was broken for scrap a while back though. That might have been it
These people seem to have bits of it
