Avro Heritage

Hello all

I hope someone here may be able to assist

I wish to speak to someone at Avro Heritage regarding Lancaster Drawings, but, when I email them it bounces back and the telephone number is for a typing agency!

Does anyone here have any more up to date contact details for them then can be found here:

Thanks a lot

It looks like the AVRO Heritage Centre will be open to the public in November. http://avroheritagemuseum.co.uk
Time methinks to plan a visit to my sister in Bollington.

Thanks again guys,

George Jenks replied and has forwarded my email so hopefully we can go from there.

There is a lot of info on the ‘official woodford farewell’ facebook page. A chap called Steve Abbott seems to be in the know. The email given is avroheritage@gmail.com.

Possibly. I was given the Aeroplans contact from the AVRO Heritage group.
In our case we needed the Anson plans and what we received has been more than we could have wished for.

Thanks all!

The above number doesn’t work I am afraid, but I have emailed George Jenks, so il see if that comes up trumps.

Is the Aeroplans email the guys that do the DVDs of the drawings? As I believed those did not contain the full sets?

Was this the one you tried? 0161 440 0487? That website is slightly misleading in that I think it’s the holding company set up by JCB to sort of fulfil their promise to preserve the heritage of the airfield they’re demolishing.

The heritage centre itself is mid way through a year long move so it might be trickier getting access to things at the moment. I’ll see if I can get a contact number for you though.

The last time I contacted them I used the private address georgejenks(at)hotmail.com, I am not sure that George is still with them, but he could probably give you the correct addy.
