Question: How many inspection stamps can be found in your average Spitfire or Lancaster? I must run in thousands?

So ink for stamp pads was a valuable war supply? without it, things would have ground to a halt!

each component will have a stamp. Each assembly will have a stamp at various stages of its construction. The short answer is thousands.
