Donderdag 3 mei 2011 om ongeveer 19.00 uur, zal een historische bommenwerper uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog naar verwachting op Rotterdam The Hague Airport aankomen.

Het betreft hier een vier-motorige bommenwerper van het type Avro Lancaster (uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk) die in het kader van de viering van 4 en 5 mei een (nog onbekend) aantal vluchten boven Nederland zal uitvoeren.

Het exacte schema van de vluchten op deze dagen is op dit moment bij de luchthaven nog niet bekend.

Op 4 mei wordt in ieder geval verwacht dat het vliegtuig rond de Nationale Dodenherdenking om 20.00 uur zal gaan vliegen.
