Avro York

Hi all,

As you know I have a fondness for all things Avro, in particular the lesser known four engined stuff. After looking around the Avro York at Cosford a couple of weeks ago, I got to thinking its a shame there’s not that much left of Lancastrian, York or Tudor.

I know we have the two surviving Yorks over here, there is the wreck of CF-HMX in Canada (what is the situation with that aircraft? Anyone have any news on it?) but not much else.

I started looking around the internet and drew a similar blank.. theres not that much out there. Does anybody happen to have a clear interior shot of the cockpit of a York? does anybody know if any drawings survive?

Obviously you can see where my caffeine addled mind is going with this, I’m looking to start building a panel. :rolleyes:

Took a few pics of it, so I thought I’d put ’em up. I was impressed with Cosford!
