RE: AW Forum Meet??

Well, I can do EMA, BHX, MAN or LHR. LGW as well I suppose.

If your looking for a good spot viewing wise then MAN would probably be best.

How about setting up a new topic with a poll, Where should we all meet? We can all vote for our favourite meeting place.

RE: AW Forum Meet??

I could attend in the North West but sadly not elsewhere, as I only get to London a few times a year 🙁

We need a designated photographer though – any volunteers?

Although I am in Edinburgh, Heathrow sounds good to me as you can cheap flights from just about anywhere to there. Only a thought.

We could meet in Oudenaarde, Belgium. I know a very good bar with good food and the best local beer (Sloeber). I will be there next September.

Maes. Definitely the best lager in the world.

RE: AW Forum Meet??

There seems to be a definite interest in coming up with something but it’s getting very close to Christmas. Why don’t we kick a few ideas back and forth over the next few weeks? Let’s see how the flypast one goes at Duxford (I ‘m going) and then see if we can work something out from there.

It would be good to meet up and put faces to names.

RE: AW Forum Meet??

What about Belfast International Airport. It is the UK’s biggest hub and the view gallery is good (behind glass). If AW got involved I am sure the management whould give us a tour as they are pretty nice or my dad (worst came to worst) could try as he knows the Managing Director very well!

Great idea.

New member to this site.

Dont rule Bristol International Airport out, good viewing if you have your own transport, good sites at the moment with a mixture of Go planes being incoperated into the Eastjet fleet.

Two members of the flypast board are sorting iy out on their own. Don’t think the magazines involved at all. Surely someone on here could organise something for you guys?

Perhaps some way could be found of convincing our very own author, Kabir T to come and be guest speaker?

RE: AW Forum Meet??

There’s one being arranged on flypast at the moment with the venue being Duxford. One for AW could work, especially if you got someone with airline involvement who could perhaps arrange a tour round a maintenance base? Or conversely just meet up at an airport viewing lounge somewhere.

What about somewhere within easy reach of a budget airline destination? Come up to Glasgow even, I’ll show you the sites!!!
