I purchased the DVD. Excellent stuff. I am, however, wondering if the quoted ceiling of 30.000 feet for the F3F is correct?

Along the same lines, I can recommend “Flight Command”, set in 1940 in a F3F (for those of you not current in prewar USN aircaraft, it’s the plane in the last photo in the original post) squadron, unfortunatley, it’s not in colour.

But… “The Salvadorian Air Force used few FG-1D Corsairs (a version of the F-4U-4 built by Goodyear).” …isn’t quite right! 😉

I think the Honduras’ were flying F4U-4 models though.

I believe the Honduras Pilot flew a F4U-5N and shoot down two F4U-1D Corsairs and one P-51D!

Hehehe, cloning and heal brushes in Photoshop make easy work of that stuff indeed! 😀
I’m a professional computer artist so I’m no stranger to photo manipulation. But that’s not how I like to achieve my photos! They’re real. If I want to ‘fake’ stuff, I do 3D artwork for that sort of things, and funnily enough I’ll be starting a 3D model of a Corsair later this month. So eventually I’ll not only replace the Cessnas, I’ll replace the entire picture and come up with something (hopefully) better. I already got a 3D Mustang, so I am planning on a dogfight between a Honduras Corsair and an El Salvador Mustang during the 1969 Football War. Should be cool and rather… different! 😀

I believe that was the only Corsair/Mustang Aerial Combat? With the Honduras F4U-5’s shooting down both F4U-1D’s and P-51D’s of the El Salvador Air Force. 😮

PS. The parking of Cessnas etc. was quite decent on todays show. It seemed they were placed much more to the left than normal, which was quite good from a photography point of view 🙂 Thanks for that, guys!

Scooter/Taylorman, Corsairs are awesome indeed. I’ll be making a 3D model of one next month.
This pic was from Flying Legends last year… I hope to do it better next year (if only they’d remove the darn Cessnas etc. from that lovely backdrop!!!)
