Broadening the scope a bit, one occasionally reads comments that archaeologists searching for ancient greek/roman remains beneath the eastern Mediterranean (and these days using remote controlled submersibles) find plenty of aircraft wrecks, but take no notice of these as they are not what they are looking for. Does anyone know if such wrecks are actually recorded and where?
