With B-17G Liberty Belle set to fly in the near future, which of the airworthy B-17’s is in the most authentic or original configuration!

Hi All,
The most accedit B-17 is The Collings Foundation Nine-O-Nine. I’ve been inside all of the airworthy B-17.
Cheers

In this month’s Flypast there is mention of tentative plans to bring the Liberty Belle II to the UK for a commemorative tour, after she has toured the States. Hope so.
Regards,
Paul

Nicest Airworthy B-17s..
The CAF Arizona Wing “Sentimental Journey ” gets my vote. I’ve toured it several times and it’s outstanding. The CAF’s other Flying Fortress, “Texas Raiders” is also nice…seems to have all the interior items. A few years back I flew in it between Dyess AFB, Texas to Dallas…the ride of a lifetime.
I haven’t seen the interior of the Yankee Air Corps or Collings Foundation aircraft, but they’d have to be pretty sharp to beat the CAF ships.
The “Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby” is great, but its flying days are over.

There was B-17G “Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby”, which was restored to fly before being put into the USAF Museum. To my knowledge she was pretty much restored to full fit.
And this one is the original “Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby”, too!
