Thought that might get your attention! Just one photo here in the historic section ( for reasons I’ll mention shortly ), but further details of this 12 ft span model, that myself and a work collegue completed, can be found in the model section – 1/6 Scale B-26 ‘Flak Bait’ thread
The model flew for the first time on June 5th this year. Photos by Ken Isaac of RCUniverse.com.

Phil, my co-builder has regularly been in touch with Sherman Best, one of the wartime pilots of Flak Bait, but just recently, the customer who now owns the B-26 discovered by chance another crew member, who I believe is known as ‘Buck’ Rogers. Shortly after the models maiden flight, it was taken to a model show in Texas, and ‘Buck’ was invited to attend. I’m hoping I can find someone who took some pictures of ‘Buck’ with his B-26! I would be great to have a photo of the model with Buck, signed.

Fantastic model, and it’s great to see the pictures with the former crew member, Buck.

Warbirds Over Texas – Flak Bait
I had the privilege of being the Contest Director at the public flying debut of “Flak Bait” at Warbirds Over Texas June 10-12. One picture shows owner Brian O’Meara (Denver CO) with Buck Rogers, and the second shows the B-26 “crew”: Evan Quiros (LMA Inspector), Dino DiGorgio (pilot) and Brian O’Meara.
Spectacular flights on this giant warbird were the hit of the show. The level of detail is awesome. It takes quite a bit of work to unload, setup, prepare and preflight the plane, and we were treated to multiple flights on Friday and Saturday.
Thanks again to Brian and the team for coming and showing off this wonderful airplane!

Unfortunately, I don’t think so, which is a shame as I really enjoyed it last year. I’ve had an expensive 6 weeks having had to spend around £1400 across my four vehicles between insurance, tax and spares, so there’s nothing left for ‘Fun Fuel’ for the Jeep or Dodge.

Stephen – are you bringing anything up to Eshott at the weekend? Apparently we have some of the Longhorsley model club bringing some flying gems….

At the East Kirby show last year there was a group with large models on display, in the back of their truck was a Stirling fuselage, any one know who, where etc?

Any plans for a Stirling?

If someone wants to commission us to do a Stirling, yes we’ll do one, but all the models we do are a business, not a hobby!

Awesome, I thought it was for real too! Well done.

Is there an airworthy original B-26?
Yeah, Kemkit Weeks has a flyable early model B-26 (40-1464) in Polk City, Florida, but it apparently hasn’t flown for some years

That is bloomin’ stunning! Sadly, these pics are probably the closest any of us are going to get to seeing a Marauder in the air… I think I’ve bored you all with my soft spot for “Flak Bait” before, so I’ll shut up.

Wow that’s impressive, in fact the only thing that gives it away quickly is the amount of prop blades. I would have been tempted to post that without giving a description first!
Stunning work!
