Just found out that a B-26 Maurader went into Carlisle on the 3rd Feb. Anyone got any ideas where this came from and where it went!

All i’ve been told is that a B-26/A-26 flew over Spadeadam range on 3/2/05 at 3000ft en-route to carlisle, i will however be phoneing the airport to see if anyone knows anything shortly.

There are two vital questions here. First, did the plane fly into Carlisle or has it been seen on a flatbed? I agree with David Burke that a B-26 Marauder is somewhat unlikely. A flyable one is just beyond impossible… ๐ ๐ Could it be that the Cadman A-26 has been sold to someone in Carlisle, or on its way to a boat? Is there a container harbor in Carlisle? To the best of my knowledge the SHF A-26 is still sitting engineless in รngelholm, Sweden. The Greek A-26 is owned by a TV station owner named Minos Kiriakou and is sitting at Tatoi AFB. It has been repainted Silver w/ Tasmanian Devil nose art, the same letters on tail, and red flashes on tail/cowls now painted yellow. What about another scenario. The A-26 is coming to Europe, not leaving! ๐ฎ I don’t think that is happening, but would love for it to be the fact. Can Nighthawk be persuaded to do a “James Bond routine” and ferret out some more info???

The Cadman brothers A-26 is stored near Norwich and hasn’t received attention for a number of years. There is a A-26 based in Greece which isn’t widely known about.

There’s only one flyable B-26 in the world anyway.. Kermit Week’s! Correct me if im wrong?!
Well Now,
I wouldn’t call in flying now a days its out of annual and hasn’t seen seen air for close to three years now.
But to answer your question yes its the only one close to being airworthy.

Wasn’t there a A-26 stored in the Essex area?

I have a suspicion that’s it’s more likely to have been an A-26 Invader.
