The Battle of Britain is re-released today (3/12/02) on VHS according to release schedules I’ve had access to where I work at the BBC. I’m hoping I’m wrong though and it is in fact coming out on DVD.

The best place i’ve found for DVD’s is www.play.com
You can usually get movies in region 1 format just as they come on the cinema here.
They have region 1’s empire of the sun, region 2’s yet to be released.
The good thing about them is you don’t pay any postage, just the cost of the disc. Prices range from £4.99 and up.
I got the Final Countdown for £4.99.

Hi sparky. I looked through a book at work today, of when titles are to be released, and the BofB dvd, is due to be released at the begining of December — But thats in Woolies though, I m not sure about other shops?

Empire Of The Sun has been available for some time, i got my copy about 6 months ago. Battle Of Britain is supposed to be released in time for Xmas.
What i want to see released is Strategic Air Command starring James Stewart and The Hunters starring Robert Mitchum.

If you wouldn’t mined. It seem other films like ‘reach for the skies’ have been available for ages but no B of B. Another one I would Like is ‘Empire of the Sun’ purely for the excellent mustang scene.
