Came into the possession of a couple of Ian Allan books this lunchtime – B17 Fortress at War and B29 Superfortress at War. Only had a chance to thumb through so far, lots of B&W pics though. Anyone else read these and able to give an opinion?

Ian Allan series
Would anybody happen to have a full listing of types covered by the ‘…At War’ series ?

This series gives some very good hands on experience about what crews experienced while flying the various aircraft types. I have a large number of these volumes and they are well thumbed and offer a very good investment as well as these are well sought after (especially the older volumes).
Cheers
Cees

Yes, I have them both and I can highly recommend you read them as (especially) the B17 one they give you most info you will want. 😀 😀

Reprint “double header”. Looks a cracking read.

Yes, very good i think, especially the B-17 one.
It was THE book i used to borrow from the library most often when i was in short trousers. Very good read.
Did you get the originals, or the reprint versions in one book (red cover) ?
