Robert Harvey (Bob) Strehlow died 6 March 2012.
He was a B17 belly-turret gunner based at Deopham Green who survived 27 missions, which must have been something of a record.
I knew him through our association at Oshkosh, where he was an active volunteer, and he introduced his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren to aviation.
