B17 crash info

Has anyone got info on an unknown B17 that crashed,Lapworth,Warwickshire,on the second Regensburg raid(14/10/43?).
The Roger Freeman book has let me down:(…..

Thanks,that would be great,
The Freeman book let me down,there obviously no serial number to go on.
The remains were allegedly salvaged by a detatchment from the EFTS at Hockley Heath?.
There are some referances to aircraft abandoned,out of fuel and listed as lost in the North sea.

Think it may be a 92nd bomb group aircraft but will check my paperwork and books in the next couple of days they are everywhere at the moment due to decorating my den!

I thought the 14th October 1943 mission was to Schweinfurt only? Wasn’t it the earlier raid (17th August?) which was to Schweinfurt and Regensburg?
