Hi 11group and all,

Is this the same a/c that had an engine failure, then a replacement with a subsequent problem which seem’s to be focused on the bolt in the picture, I ask the engineer’s on here, is the bolt the cause of the first and second engine’s problem’s ?

Where the heck did that bolt come from? It’s not part of that assembley

Any restriction of oil flow isn’t good, even more so at start up when the oil is cold.

Is the piece that the bolt is photographed in actually an oil-filter?

I’d love to know exactly where this assembly goes on the engine and what function it performs, to me, it looks very small more like some sort of oil-pressure valve or strainer (but I’d be the first to admit I know almost nothing about these engines).

Chances are that the bolt wasn’t jammed in place but was loose, and drawn into or over an oilway by the flow of oil, causing intermittent starvation, in my view if it was stuck in that position, it would not have caused the major failure.

Was the bolt jammed in that position?

It doesn’t look, to me anyway, that it would impede the flow of oil that much…..just goes to show I suppose.

40% maybe ??

cheers baz

That’s going to be hard to prove who’s at fault and pay up for their costly mistake. kerching!!!!!!!

Zero rated engine too.

I along with others hope that she will be back on the circuit next year.

Good luck to the Sally B crew in getting her back where she belongs.

Brian.
