If you add links ‘hidden’ in your post, and they are not made obvious by a contrasting font colour, I usually add an underline to highlight the word…
Maybe the webmaster can fiddle round the back end of the forum to change the colour of links to something a bit more obvious?

Its a Mk IV which means the answer to your question is ‘all of the above’. The Mk IV could drop parachutists, supplies (from its bomb bays and from the fuselage via the first roller floor to be used in operations) to partisans or airborne troops and it could tow the Hadrian, Horsa and Hamilcar gliders.

Just to add…whilst the CH prefix might well indicate IWM there are many original period images that carry the same pencilled CH numbers and these long pre-date acquisition by IWM but were, I think, MOI images that were later acquired by IWM who simply used the original negative numbering system. In this case it sounds like a modern (presumably IWM?) reprint.

The link is in the word “this” but not as visible as it could be … may be because I’ve posted it with an iPad and it was rather hard to get the link in.
BTW I’ve subsequently discovered a few more photos with the same “B24 noseart” title but not B24s. Bit loose IMHO.
