B25 Bedsheet bomber

Possibly a rumor, but I read somewhere that the B25 Bedsheet bomber was moved to a scrapyard recently? Can anyone confirm?

…. you could quite easily mistake Pikehouse’s yard for a scrapyard and it is frequently described as such by visitors to the airfield, the 20 year ‘yard clear-up’ is still ongoing 😀

Tom

Probably 30 years after it was started. Tends to be the way with plans to clear up any yard. Double the time you originally estimated and add 10% then triple the projected cost of the job and probably still find you underestimated:)

Talking of B25s, can anyone tell me what happened to N7614C which was abandoned at Shoreham in the 70s until seized by the airport authorities and sold to pay the outstanding parking fees. Was she restored and/or was she re-registered. Is she airworthy or preserved somehwere. As I recall she had the rear turret removed and a fairing installed so that she could be used as a cameraship.

She is with Parkhouse aviation at Booker. Has been for over a year now iirc. More a case the new owner happens to be in that line of business than it is about to go for pots and pans 🙂
