Greetings,
I have a question with a Boeing 707 pic as I am avid fan of them.
Is this pic a fake of genuine ?
Says it’s doing a low buzz, but dang it’s loooww…. 😮

I’m sure I’ve got some footage somewhere of that barrel roll in front of startled Boeing executives.
If you look above in this thread you shall see I have included a link of this very same footage.
It is brilliant stuff 🙂

The only passenger carrying 707 in the world left is based in Iran. the name of the airline wont pop up in my heaad. I also don’t know what destinations they fly to.
The photo is real. This aircraft has it’s flaps fully deployed. At this pitch at landing speed it would descend. I think it’s flying 150-160 knots.
You’re thinking of Saha Air who operate ex-IRIAF 707 tankers on passenger services in Iran and around the Gulf.
Here is an account of a Saha Air 707 flight by Jérome Krier with lots of photos!
The photo above is from an airshow in South Africa if I’m not mistaken.

What is it about 707’s – they’re one of my favourite types too, but I can’t explain why.
I only flew on a 720B once, in the early 80’s, and it was horrible – noisy, falling apart inside, no air conditioning that I could feel…..yet I would still love to ride in one.
I feel the same way about Viscounts – I used to regularly fly in them as a child and they were horrible too.
Does anyone know how I could fly in a 707 today?
Its called ‘nostalgia’ and a sign that we are getting old! The 707 and Viscount are classics, being the first Boeing jet airliner, whilst the Viscount was the first operational turbo-prop airliner. They are milestones in flight and will always be remembered with much fondness.

It is a genuine photo.
The Captain had apparently heard about the British Airways VC-10 Low flyby at a british airshow and wanted to replicate it in his own way.
This is the result.

I would say that photo is genuine, as you can see the shadow beneath it! They have a habit of writing-off 707s in that part of the world and now you can see why?

Now I know this is definitely NOT a fake….!!!!
Wow, if only to have been there and seen the 367-80 roll not once but twice !!!
