Air New Zealand have two 744s due for scrapping in a month or so. Get your orders in now!

Sorry you are right, beige it was!
By: lanners55 - 27th March 2012 at 22:04
Many thanks for that, I’ll look into it. I had it in mind the 747-400 had a beige yoke like the 757 but you may well be correct.
I bought the ex BCAL DC10 control wheel from APHS and have since found two more, so I’ve cornered the market! Bit like a bus, you wait for ages then two (or three) come along at the same time.

Simon
APHS currently have two 747-200 (Singapore airlines) and two 747-300 (south African airlines) control wheels for sale with clipboards.
These are all Identical to the 747-400 as I believe the 747 yoke has remained the same style throughout the entire series, very few 747-400 are being scrapped at the moment so very few on the Market, therefore these may be a good alternative.
Did you end up buying the Laker DC10 yoke?

Yep, tried a few but no luck so far. Airline Pilot’s Historical Society do have a couple of 757’s but the condition is quite poor for the price. The hunt continues.

Have you tried the companies that break up retired aircraft? I’ve no idea what they are called or, indeed, whether such parts would be available to the general public, but it must be worth a shot.
