B777. PIC

I have always thought that the B777 is a nice machine, despite looking like a Tristar without the back engine. I have taken this one as getting of in MAD from a Easyjet B737-700.

Yeh Preston I saw the bit about the break tests. Lovely machine. I like the 6-wheeled boggies and ofcourse…the size of the engines.

i love it – btw T5 r u on about the prog on Discovery which showed the development of the a/c cos they tested the braking system to distruction and the heat burst the tyres – maybee that’s the 1?

I remember back in ’94 when when the 777 was put through a test flight. It didnt go according to plan and upon landing, the tyres all caught fire because too much pressure was put on them on touchdown.

It’s certainly a nice aircraft but in my opinion, not the best by Boeing. Doesn’t quite beat the smaller 767.

Nice picture!

I’ve never liked the look of it myself, just looks strange really, but I’ve got to admit the size of the engines are impressive.
